The chocolate version of "Idiot Proof" One Bowl Yellow Cake. The description in the cookbook says, "It's probably possible for someone to mess this cake up. But you'd really have to work at it. Dark, rich, perfect. Death By Chocolate."

Everyone makes mistakes, goodness knows I make a whackload of them, but I hate it when published cookbooks are printed and sold with glaring errors.
The CIA's Artisan Breads At Home has at least one such error that I've discovered, so far.

The rip on the side is from my family cutting into it right after it came out of the oven
This is one of those recipes.

Blogger was down for 3 days, and in the process lost my Hedgehog Rolls post. This is a duplicate.
This was the only one that turned out NOT looking like it had been run over by a car, or as my daughter just said, "demented".
March of the demented hedgehogs!
My other daughter was hit really hard by this bug, after two days she's still not quite healthy. So I thought I would make some rolls to cheer them up, but in the shape of hedgehogs.

The recipes consist of each child explaining how their mom cooks their favourite meal, absolutely priceless!
My son's contribution was how he thinks I make pasta:
"The water gets very hot and then my mom gets it off.
She puts the pasta into a can of water. You can use a fork to eat it.
Then you can put cheese on it and my brother doesn't eat it."
I wonder how he thinks I make chicken...
Happy early Mother's Day!!

She has the most amazing baked goods I have ever seen, I swear she is Martha Stewart in disguise.
This is just one of the recent things featured on her site.

There is so much stuff on every surface these days that I had to use the office desk to photograph the bread, but you don't need to see all the cables and pens and that kind of thing.
"Dad, you got to make a loaf!"
Can there be any better feeling to know that your helping a kid nag his parent into doing something for them?
